Eli HayesOct 5, 2019The best comic book adaptation ever.
Matthew Christman - Dec 10, 2025
Creepshow is still to this day a brilliant anthology of horrific tales of the unexpected. This homage to horror comics really feels like a whole. (More than the sum of its parts?) It helps that all segments are directed, written, shot and special effected by the same…
Yves BouwenMay 8, 2022Very few things bring me as much joy as bad guy Leslie Nielsen
Erin 🍺Apr 13, 2022George Romero's 1950's comic strip comes to life, with a five part anthology of macabre and high camp tales of terror. Creepshow was obviously going for a moving comic book feel and achieves it with the anthology structure, some smart editing and a lot of completely over…

Very much in my wheelhouse. Anthology + practical gore + dark humor = very nice! Some segments are better than others but I'd say all of them are consistent in terms of quality. Really enjoyed the one with Stephen King playing the goofball. And the cockroach one didn't…
vividswiftOct 6, 2022my mum is mad at me for showing this to my 11 year old brother but i think it’s both good and vital for the soul to have a little october fright when you’re young

I really wish George A. Romero and Stephen King would have worked together more often because this movie is magic from start to finish. My favorite story stars Stephen King as a hillbilly with a meteor! LOL Great effects by Tom Savini, great score and cinematography as well.
ChungiBoi likedCreepshowA quality set of shorts, it was fun seeing where several of the episodes from the show got their inspiration. Also, hats off to the hiring director for casting Leslie Nielsen, before this I wouldn’t have expected him to be so intimidating, best part of the movie
Arsal likedCreepshowA fun, creepy, comic-inspired ride. Romero and King deliver a love letter to pulpy horror. Not every story lands, but the aesthetic, tone, and campy glee make it a classic. A Halloween staple if you're into retro horror.

Nice little old school anthology. Didn’t like the first couple that much. Liked the second half of them. Leslie Nielsen being a villain was cool. So used to him in comedy. If you didn’t know that kid is Stephen kings son who grew up to make locke and key among other things.
Morgan lovedCreepshowcampy and hilarious i really liked the editing and the special effects, it was all very charming i also liked all the monsters and undead designs, it was fun how different they were the bug one made me sooo itchy i think my favorites were father’s day and the crate
John Foster likedCreepshowRewatched 23 Aug 2025 John Foster’s review published on Letterboxd: A decent, fun homage to the EC horror comics of the 1950's. Not as clever and scary as the source material. It's fun watching Leslie Nielsen be evil.
- MovieDaddy is "meh" onCreepshow
The best part of this movie is the poster. Effects don’t hold up past the year they were made, and the stories are lacking any decent tension. I love horror anthologies, but this left a lot to be desired.
Dark Sun likedCreepshowAll the segments were great, ‘cept for Father’s Day and the wraparound (which weren’t bad). The Leslie Nielsen one was shockingly good and makes me want watch more dramatic roles from him.
Scranton Strangler lovedCreepshowLove this anthology movie and all the practical effects. i watched this all the time growing up and each story is so great.
