tbh the best part of this whole film is when Harrison Ford finds out tht the aliens want the cowboys' gold and he says: "that's just ridiculous. What're they gonna do... BUY SOMETHING???"

The Wild West wins—our titular hero breaks the bonds of alien abduction, has both of his girlfriends killed, and rides off like a badass. Most remarkable is the alien, choosing to be a white woman, rising from the flames and speaking Apache while waving her hands at the landscape
Alex Raulins likedCowboys & AliensThis movie delivers its ridiculous premise
Henry likedCowboys & AliensI was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this film. Combining western with sci fi, and it somehow works. It’s not groundbreaking but it is enjoyable and entertaining, not to mention Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig’s performance, fantastic. Rating H-7/10

This movie’s plot and acting was so ridiculous, that it actually turned out to be a very good film. Definitely worth watching.
jellyjor dislikedCowboys & AliensPlot was awful and nothing really made much sense. For a star cast seems like a sus film. Maybe money laundering
TheRealTrueTone dislikedCowboys & AliensIt's like they didnt even try. The story, the love for the alien lady, and the power differences like the wild west & Indian weapons keeping up vs alien technology?? There is so much more wrong with this that I havent listed but it all comes down to this, Big actors, trash movie.

only watched this bc Métis in Space did an episode on it and bc i call every hollywood movie a western without having ever watched a “classic western”. um.. yeah.. everything i expected and worse. my heart breaks that adam beach took this role. hope he got that bag at least 0/10
tyyyy likedCowboys & AliensEntertaining popcorn flick for fans of westerns and sci-fi + these are some of the scariest alien designs I’ve ever seen on screen 😭
Mustached Movie Man likedCowboys & AliensI'll admit, on first watch, I disliked this movie. Upon re-watch (and that being the Extended Edition), I now appreciate and like the movie.

Instead of merging the Western and the sci-fi genre to form some new, transcendent class of popcorn fare, Cowboys Aliens just regurgitates the conventions of both genres. Double the high concept, quadruple the clichés.

Every summer movie season usually has at least one spectacular, disastrous flame-out, and although the dog days of August still loom, I doubt there will come a big-budget blockbuster worse than Cowboys and Aliens.

Cowboys Aliens has fun moments, but it's a plodding entertainment because it mostly tastes like leftovers.
