Cheyenne (1947)

When push comes to shove, Jane Wyman picks up a gun, and calmly places herself between Dennis Morgan and a bullet. It's not a scene of dramatic sacrifice, just one of competence — that's who this movie is. Blessings upon Raoul Walsh and his women with matter-of-fact…

"You're only young once..." "Once is enough!"Today is a great occasion for birthdays, for not only is George Chakiris turning 90, but the wonderful Janis Paige celebrates the big 100! It's truly a remarkable achievement; TCM will broadcast half a day’s worth of her films,…

A terrific mystery western full of paranoia and shifting identities. A gambler becomes a detective while chasing an elusive criminal. This isn't very well known probably because it stars Dennis Morgan instead one of the usual action stars from the era, but isn't that far…
