It’s a work of art, a swath of style and contradiction. It’s a zombie movie with its own canon. It’s equal parts Lynch and Raimi. It’s foreign to an American like me, yet it’s in English. It’s a love story in a unique triangle. Its ugliest images are some of the most…
Dellamorte Dellamore sounds better than cemetery man, but I digress, this cinematic artform is a masterwork in vibes and the last true gasp of Italian horror—a weirdo banger that feels like the culmination of years of lurid linguini and it’s a damn masterpiece. For years…
Poor sad Francesco. Trapped in a world that doesn't love him but can't do without him. Not liked by anyone but accepted as a useful mean. He lives outside of society because his only company is death. He desires what we all desire. He wants love. He desires it so much…
How would you describe this film? a) A phantasmagorical gothic romance. b) A necrophile's wet dream. c) One of the most batshit crazy zombie films since RotLD. d) A spiralling descent into madness. e) All of the above and more. Answer: e
This movie is the reason I think of necrophilia, every time I pick up a snow globe.
it’s like if the evil dead was hosted on pornhub.
rip francesco you would had loved lisa frankenstein
The only film I'm aware of that achingly evokes René Mageitte's The Lovers II and -several minutes later- features a, uh, "Curly Howard type" (to use the medical term) getting so horny that he throws up on a teenage girl. Beautiful.
One of the strangest Italian horror films I’ve ever seen. Equal parts Gialli, supernatural zombie horror, romance, slapstick comedy and existential thriller with a mind-bender of an ending, it’s truly unique. And if someone asks “what’s the tone?” You say “ALL THE…
lacking direction plot wise and comes off a bit pretentious; acts like it's saying more than it is. much of the humor didn't land for me as well. great horror elements though, visually stunning with its intense gothic scenery and practical effects but it falls apart elsewhere imo
A film that watches like a strange art piece in the best way possible. Funny, weird, bloody, and just a blast to watch. The script has depth that remains unmatched with more meaning than any film I’ve ever seen. An amazing depiction of insanity and sin.
8/10 While it’s definitely all over the place and doesn’t really have a straight narrative. The strange, weird, unexpected and bizarre nature of this movie made me like it more than I expected. It’s funny even when it’s not supposed to be, point down for music chooses Didn’t fit
Loved the story and the direction is very interesting; surprised to know all the effects have been made manually without any computers. Poetic
it was a movie alright 😋 give it a watch at least once fs

I watched this with super low expectations, so maybe that’s why I liked it so much. I laughed out loud a few times at it, and it’s a truly interesting movie. I would call it a hidden gem. The plot is everywhere though.
INSANE movie like absolutely BONKERS but i loved it. new fave movie everybody needs to watch this
