The original Cabin Fever has: - charming weirdness that persists throughout - Likeable cast that you actually care about - freaky and effective scenes that still make me uneasy - funny scenes that make the more horrific stuff easier to swallow - just an all around…

Here's an actual line delivered in the first ten minutes: "A whole week up here? No GTA 5, no Black Ops 2, no Minecraft?"
adataylorhOct 11, 2023After watching the orignal and this one back to back, you can tell the difference. I personally preferred the orignal better, I felt like they rushed the story line and tried to make it more Gorier, but I did like the cast better especially Bert. Paul when she said "kill…
MochtheWeekOct 18, 2025i can’t believe i used to like this movie. it’s a perfect example of why original movies should be left alone instead of being remade. the acting made me cringe so hard. it seriously felt like everyone was just there for a paycheck instead of actually doing their job.

Not even Matthew Daddario's face could save this one.
˗ˏˋ dylan ˊˎ˗Jun 9, 2019I’m not even a big fan of the original, but compared to this atrocious remake it’s a masterpiece.
ChadwinNov 3, 2025You know how every good horror movie is eventually considered for getting the lackluster remake treatment? Yeah, well, evidently Eli Roth being the horror fanboy that he is was well aware of that and must have thought “what better time to remake my own movie than now?” If…

Lets just say I seen this and remember absolutely nothing from it Only took me having to look up the trailer to realize I had watched this
Strange Girl dislikedCabin FeverIt was literally so dumb and boring. Honestly all the characters are so unlikable except maybe Karen. The only good scene was in the bathtub when Marcy was shaving and with Paul and the safety lock. (6-19-25)
Garrett Rupe likedCabin FeverNot exactly what I expected, but if you like the idea of tourists expecting to go into the woods for a fun time, just to turn into a nightmare real quick, you’re choosing the right movie!
- Red Velvet is "meh" onCabin Fever
Literally almost the exact same as the original in a bad way. Like I feel like they should’ve mixed up the story a bit but whatever. Gore was fantastic!
K A Y likedCabin FeverCheesy horrible acting all that however, it’s one of those movies that you watch if you’re in the mood for cheesy horrible acting so it’s decent
jazzyy dislikedCabin Feverit's literally the same exact movie just really bad- like this is a shot for shot remake just watch the original it's better

Who benefits from the existence of this film? Certainly not the largely bland ensemble of post-adolescent actors cast as the leads, who here can scarcely be called characters. Possibly the day players essaying those stock grotesques, who retain the air of being hungry for work.

It doesn't help that what passes for acting here seems more like a table read.

Scene for scene, line for line, gag for gag, it’s basically the same movie. And the original was no masterpiece to begin with.
