Old west self-delusions gentle disappearing. Eastwood just set the stage and let people act their own roles in it. There's nothing quite as amiable in his directing filmography, the one recurring source of conflict is straight woman Sondra Locke having to react to all the…
Filipe FurtadoApr 15, 2026Bronco Billy’s (Clint Eastwood) Wild West show is having problems. People just aren’t showing up like they used to. He’s six months behind in paying his crew. Meanwhile, he needs a new female assistant after accidentally injuring his last one during the knife throwing part…
David WhitmanSep 18, 2021a gentle libertarian absurdity, the death of the wild west so quiet that it forgoes fatalism and instead simply fades into the background of palatial modern life; very much a howard hawks film's trickster frenzy slowed down into a sweet comedic elegy. eastwood gives his…

“Bronco Billy” is a stuffy but charming period piece that sees the typically prickly Clint Eastwood admit to his own obsolescence. While the film floundered at the box office on release, Eastwood told one interviewer that, “As a film director, if I ever wanted to say…
theriverjordanApr 10, 2023"Bronco Billy" is a 1980 drama/comedy film directed by and starring Clint Eastwood. Being placed within the aspects of modern day (for when the film was produced) but encapsulating the nostalgia of yesteryear, "Bronco Billy" is a film that seems to carry with it the…

Getting a little tired of Sondra Locke in…

Clint Eastwood’s adoring tribute to a travelling Wild West show featuring cowboys, lasso artists, snake wranglers, and of course, a fetching cowgirl dame whomever is on the rotation. Gruff and hard-headed, Eastwood is a boss that cares more about putting on a riotous show…
chavelDec 13, 2020Dreams of old morals and idealistic bonds, entertainment as education and life as a road of love and friendship. One of those films that are just so lighthearted and heartwarming that it is impossible not to love it.
Diogo SerafimAug 30, 2021When United Artists cast Clint Eastwood opposite a young Jeff Bridges in 1974's Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, the grizzled veteran felt upstaged, and vowed never to work with the studio again. This egomania has an interesting consequence. It led Eastwood, himself a major box…

Pretty fun and entertaining film directed by the great Clint Eastwood. The plot was very hole some and of course Eastwood’s character was a complete badass as usual.
So depressing, boring and heartless. Sorry but this is not for me.
