Nick Dubberly likedBring Them DownI knew nothing of this film until I heard about it on social media. The best way to describe it is a modern day Shakespearean tragedy. Barry Keoghan is one of best actors today, and he delivers a fantastic performance. I wasn’t satisfied with the ending, but, I really enjoyed it.

It provides morally grey characters instead of the usual black and white and clearly defined definition of good and bad. It features strong performances too.

The film brings us down, as well as letting itself down somewhat – a late scuffle in a peat bog is poorly motivated, the ending too vague. But the jangling escalations of the first half still mark Andrews out as a name to watch.
