I LOST MY VIRGINITY IN WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A PARK BUT... IT TURNED OUT TO BE A GRAVEYARD AND NOW THE GHOST SPIRITS LIVE INSIDE MY EGGS WAITING TO BE REBORN
LucyApr 15, 2019literally every movie should be set during senior year of high school. no exceptions.

this is superbad for girls and the gays
aaronMay 27, 2019Lots that I love about this but there’s a small joke in here where Amy is crying and tripping on drugs and she goes “my mom has a scarf that color” and it was so relatable I almost cried myself.

Hilarious movie. Had me cracking up the whole time. This is one of my new favorite “teen comedies”. Excellent cast. Everyone is so funny. Sapphic rep. Coming-of-age story. Reminds me of myself in my teen days. Very relatable & realistic.
Great comedy with a satisfying ending and character growth that was fun to watch. I loved the depth of the characters, and how u could rly feel how they felt. Highly recommended to anyone but especially ppl in school.

This movie was terrible. I’m not sure how anyone is giving it anything better than 2 stars... we sat through the whole movie expecting at some point the laughs were going to come but alas we had only a mere chuckle or two. Someone said it’s a female version of ‘Superbad’, and it’s not even it the same ballpark..
Cringe

Booksmart’s version of specificity mostly feels like old tropes sporting new stickers. It seems to take place in this weird bubble, where everyone is sexy and Yale-bound and achingly cool (even its supposedly uncool protagonist is the class president). That it never really acknowledges this makes you wonder if the filmmakers know it exists.
It's an R-rated teen comedy that proves that you can center girls’ experiences without sacrificing grossness, and that you can be gross without being too mean.
The pacing and writing are as smart as the film's title. Early moments are worth a chuckle, but the laugh-out-loud, top-shelf jokes happen when night falls.
