Only movies can do this.
Sean FennesseyMay 1, 2026so hard to understand how memory actually works -- incredible to see a movie depict that trickiness so well
David SimsApr 26, 2026When I saw this at TIFF last year I said that it made me cry at one point. Well on this second viewing I was a weepy mess from basically beginning to end. My mind’s made up, this is a five-bagger. The shards of this very specific story can hit just about everyone. The…

Simultaneously feels like I could talk about this for hours but somehow have nothing to say. I don’t know. It cut clean through my soul.

Had this lump in my throat for the back 1/3rd that i was unsuccessfully trying to swallow away. Extremely structurally dynamic; there’s a world where Romvari could’ve taken a more traditional approach that wouldn’t have landed quite the way this did.
5/10 I must firstly say i am not a fan of documentary type of films so that is why it was scored so low. I went in knowing nothing but i had it figured out by the end, it was beautifully written and the acting was amazing though.
