kennedyAug 13, 2021i love that deckard has this ultra-complex enemy of the state-esque computer that can 1000x zoom in, rotate & curve within the space of a two-dimensional high-def 4K image, but when he goes to print the picture it just gives him this shitty low-resolution polaroid

fran hoepfnerApr 1, 2015"Let me tell you about my mother." Short of 2001: A Space Odyssey, Blade Runner has to be the most boring science fiction film of all time. Ridley Scott is a no-talent hack, a fact which has been demonstrated extensively by his subsequent output. He's a visual director…

dumbsvilleJan 24, 2015Rachel? Yearning. Touch, feeling, skin, beauty; the search for something tangible. Seeking. Love, fear, sadness, disillusion; the search for something deeper. A simple calling of a name evokes so much more, as the silence on the other end defies simple emotion. Waiting,…

“It’s too bad she won’t live. But then again, who does?” 👀 Loved the soundtrack ❤️🔥 Maybe I’ll watch it again or look up a deeper explanation of everything bc it seems like one of those movies where you miss certain details the first time around unless u know to look for them.
Stoofman is "meh" onBlade RunnerFor a movie made in 1982!!! It looked AMAZING (like early 2000's type), I'll give it that. BUT, the lack of story and character development, music, and just slow scenes completely took me our of the movie. Like it had so much potential to be great but it just ended up being weird
GOOBA THE MAN likedBlade RunnerSCRIPT(4): Had some alright parts like tears in the rain CINEMATOGRAPHY(10): visuals are what made this movie ACTING(6): meh outside of a few PLOT(2): story made no sense outside of a cool idea SOUNTRACK(8): I really liked the music OVERALL: 6.0

How have I never seen this before? This is a perfect 10 in terms of background and set cinematography, acting visuals, and plot lines. The fact that this was so thoroughly made over 40 years ago is incredible, and the technology commentary still holds up today. Must see 2049 now.
w likedBlade Runner(final cut 2007) was great to enter into this dystopian sci-fi world for a little while and feel immersed in it. i feel like the plot wasn’t clear but it was only my first watch. the last nexus 6 replicant seemed to be the main character at the end…?
Sabrina Bondi likedBlade RunnerThe single most immersive and tactile world ever created for the cinema. It's a quest movie - where one thing leads mechanically to another to another to another. There are no twists. It's noir only in atmosphere and expressionist lighting schemes.

Great soundtrack and a great neo-noir masterpiece. You might need to watch a YouTube video to understand the plot however

Grand enough in scale to carry its many Biblical and mythological references, Blade Runner never feels heavy or pretentious -- only more and more engrossing with each viewing. It helps, too, that it works as pure entertainment.

Ridley Scott (“Alien”) has produced a new vision that is forbidding. [2 July 1982]

Blade Runner is a rare science fiction movie so full of material that pages can be written about it without scratching the surface. A review like this can provide little more than an overview. A detailed exploration of the movie, its style, and its mysteries requires dedication that only someone immersed in Blade Runner lore can provide. Currently, the film is available in the United States only in the director's cut. Warner Brothers, however, has promised an exhaustive box set next year with multiple versions. It will be interesting to see whether those editions offer new insights or expand upon the film's already rich tapestry.
