Very well performed, in an old-fashioned way. Concept is good but not enough is done with it. The ‘Villain’ feels like he comes out of nowhere and doesn’t quite fit in. It’s basically the middle chunk of ‘Poor Things’ as a feature length film. It’s good, but not great

Live for the Roger Vivier pump that Deneuve wore and the entire costume design which was designed by THE Yves Saint Laurent. Buñuel is a newly favorite director of mine. I did enjoy The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie more than this.
