The last 30 minutes of Ballerina: 🔥🔥🔥 🔥💧🔥💧
EvanACJun 10, 2025made me very sleepy. then grenades and flamethrowers. then sleepy again
JakeJun 4, 2025A little bit John Wick 3.5 but mostly like its rageful little sister, Ana de Armas/Eve’s frantic resourcefulness and fiery outbursts feel extra brutal here in contrast to John’s anger that is almost a casual and calculated fact of life. I can’t be mad when the basic revenge…

“how do I start doing what you do?” “you already have.” I’ve only seen john wick 4 and I didn’t really care for it 😭 but this one was so good. the fights didn’t look as choreographed as 4 (until the cabin scene) but they were pretty good. idrk what else to say lol I enjoyed it
KILLER movie. I love this spin off, and how it's also canon to the universe is phenomenal. Character growth was a big factor in this movie. And the action? Dare I say, ON PAR with John Wick. Maybe even, slightly better? I'd watch this again in a heartbeat. Amazing film. 8.9/10.

So, when a movie is set in the world of John Wick...you kind of have to compare it to the "original," and in doing so FOR ME, it was just not it, literally starting from the first contract, how come the goons aren't trying to k*ll her, yeah she's a girl but cmon, no weapons🤷🏽♂️

To Vicki A. Who said 2 hours of bloody blood and left one review. ITS A JOHN WICK UNIVERSE. .l. So if you like blood this is for you.
Metacritic
One imagines screenwriter Shay Hatten (Rebel Moon) spinning a big Wheel of Weapons that would land on “hand grenades” or “flame-thrower” or “dishware,” leading him to craft novel ways for de Armas to implement these deadly items. The fight scenes are all Ballerina has going for it, but they’re frequent, varied, and clever enough to make watching the film a worthy summer pastime.
Exploiting a mere sliver of story from John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, Ballerina concocts an especially dull origin story for an ancillary piece of Wickian lore.
A cluttered mess with a boring storyline but the action is often amazing, and there’s a genuine sense of humor to all its weird duels to the death. That’s something that’s been absent from the self-serious John Wick movies for far too long — an acknowledgement of their own wackiness.
