my jaw dropped at the plot twist at the end. literally DROPPED. This movie is literally beautiful like the aesthetic and the chemistry is just like top tier. Never hated anyone more than that little girl played by Saoirse.

The first 50 minutes were genuinely engaging and interesting, but after that it went downhill. It felt like nothing was happening, I found myself just watching the progress bar going on and on closer to the end, wondering, is this how it's going to end? Spoiler alert: yes.
webel is "meh" onAtonementThought this would be a romantic « Jane Austin » style film, it was not. It’s quite difficult to follow the story, and the middle is too long and unnecessary. However, the end was a definite plot twist and offered some explanation. Interesting, but not a hit.
