Scott Cooper’s cold, muddy & dark ANTLERS delivers a creepy atmosphere, terrifying creature design & gory makeup effects. But it struggles to effectively explore & connect its many themes of abuse, poverty & wendigo mythology. Technically well crafted but frustrating…
Matt NegliaOct 14, 2021While Antlers is a recommend, I felt like director Scott Cooper didn’t fully develop the themes of abuse, neglect, poverty and environmental destruction he introduced. Plot was very predictable after the (amazing) first act. The film often lacked nuance despite a…

One thing white people WILL do in horror movies is literally do the opposite of what your supposed to do.
MarMarOct 30, 2021very spooky very sad :(
˗ˏˋ suspirliam ˊˎ˗Nov 1, 2021The grim atmosphere and the hideous creature effects are executed well enough that one wishes the actual material could measure up. Russell and Plemons are given the thankless task of elevating a prosaic script, its trajectory so familiar and its themes so scattershot that…

Antlers is a great scary movie to watch during the spooky season. The take on the indigenous tale of skin walkers was a great representation. There was one jump scare that really did it for me. I hope to see more films in the future that are about Native American stories. 8/10

The mix of seriousness, trauma topics, survivors guilt, and all the rest is a little too much, maybe it would’ve worked better if the movie didn’t took itself THAT seriously or was more camp some times. Still a very good time and easily enjoyable!!
OMG this movie was SO good!! i hope they make a second one! also loved the Oregon forest vibes as im in Oregon right now. going on a forest trip tomorrow and was watching scary forest movies since i love being creeped out. 🦌🌲 this was perfect!

I wasn’t sure about this movie from the previews but after watching it, Im glad I watched it. I thought it was a good suspenseful movie that kept my attention most of the time. The acting was alright, and it had an intriguing story.
It was decent throughout but the ending was meh. It was a lot of build up to a very anticlimactic final battle that lasted all of 2 min. Wouldn’t watch it again, the premise was there just a lot of build up for little pay off. 6/10

Needed to show the monster more than what they did and explain it more on how it came about
CDChloe DinhJust kinda ehh. The storyline has potentials, but never got deep dived into the why it happened. I left feeling disappointed since my questions weren’t answered.
APAdrian PalmaIts a very slow burn, however characters are great the cinematography is beautiful, and the score complements the movie perfectly..

Creepy and builds dread for the viewer, the wendigo scenes don’t disappoint. However, there are points in the story where you will roll your eyes at the stupid decisions *horror movie characters* will make. Twist ending.
CACherrie AndorsCinematography: Beautiful Cast: Great Several movie scenes made me jump. Some scenes made me very sad. I like the movie.
B?britney 🍊The whole movie is so sad but really interesting. My heart was pounding and I was super emotionally invested.
