Synopsis

Determined to keep Annabelle from wreaking more havoc, demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren bring the possessed doll to the locked artifacts room in their home, placing her "safely" behind sacred glass and enlisting a priest's holy blessing. But an unholy night of horror awaits as Annabelle awakens the evil spirits in the room, who all set their sights on a new target-the Warrens' ten-year-old daughter, Judy, and her friends.

    It’s a little corny but that works well with the time setting. It’s not too scary but has some jump scares in it. Overall, pretty good and easy to keep up with.

Somehow, we get a new Annabelle movie that develops its own personality and takes on the lore without rewriting or undoing anything that has already been shown in the other films.

Set in 1973, amid a forest of shag carpeting, Annabelle Comes Home is a nice little summer surprise, and quite unexpectedly the freshest of the three “Annabelle” movies spun off from the larger “Conjuring” galaxy of horror films.
