Ben Affleck just really wants everyone to know he can speak Spanish
It’s times like these when I wonder if Matt Damon kept it real with him or told him this movie was good
Give me back m... *Checks Notes* GIVE ME BACK HIS SON!!!!!!!
the movie is about a child getting kidnapped but i was the one held hostage by the movie.
“I used AI for lots of things in that movie.” — ben affleckoh okay that explains a lot
“Is he black?” Lmfao
Gillian Anderson turned up in an all-white pantsuit like the kidnapping had a dress code.
From lowest to highest, how would you rate this movie? At the lowest end, you have Gillian Anderson playing chatgpt? gemini?, saying AI-generated answers to Affleck to help him navigate this moral dilemma. And at the highest end, everyone involved is so pressed and aware…
Sincerly, Netflix should stop at this point. It’s empty.
I feel like it was a waste of actors! You have Gillian, Ben and Kerry and this is the filthy script you get them reading. It felt like chat gpt wrote it. It’s not bad but defiantly wasn’t great either. In 2026 you have to give me more cmon now
the plot twist of the wrong kid being kidnapped was interesting but i feel like it just could’ve been better
Solid 7/10- it really just feels like “another movie I watched on Netflix” vibes. Good watch but nothing super special about it. Some of the cuts and scenes felt dragged out or edited weird. If someone wanted to watch I would tell them to watch it but I wouldn’t suggest as a must
Not technically a bad film but I probably won’t even remember I ever watched this. It feels like, and I hope it’s not, someone typed into ChatGPT “typical Ransom Movie” and then made their own twist on it after reading it. Production quality is high but writing quality is low.
5.6/10 ya this movie did nothing for me, I couldn’t get past how it looked like it was shot in 2011? But Ben affleck needs to stop directing and staring in these movies where he thinks there’s a million twist and turns and on the edge of your seat action. They always fall flat
I had high hopes for this movie, Ben Affleck is one of my favorite directors, his previous work always has been amazing, and I like this movie, but I have to said that realising that is a remake, it took me by surprise and was a bit disapointing, but hey the movie is great.
stop i thought this would cook. this is such a ben affleck movie except not that good. i’ve enjoyed the town and argo, so this is a little disappointing. especially with that killer cast! it tried to be more than it was and failed. two duds in a row! 😭
It was fine, that kid sliding down the concrete was some atrocious graphics and editing. There was some ok scenes, the story just felt a bit flat overall. And the ending was stupid, like literally nothing changed, what was the point of any of it?
Ben Affleck's acting in Animals was good, and so was his Spanish. I was impressed. I was pulled in from the get-go of the storyline through the end of the film. I could have done without Gayle King, but it was still a pretty good film overall.
