Madison 🎭Oct 19, 2012John Landis' horror comedy is probably the best werewolf movie ever made with a fantastic transformation sequence that still holds up to this day it looks and feels painful, a true landmark moment. A true classic of the genre.

eelySep 1, 2021oi have you got a loisence to turn into that werewolf
adamboltSep 4, 2014The best shot of the movie comes during the transformation scene when he stares directly into the camera, his eyes filled with agony, arm outstretched in paralyzed fear, so utterly helpless that he breaks the fourth wall and looks at the audience to call timeout and stop…

honestly fine shyt turning into a werewolf wouldn’t stop me either, shoutout to that nurse fr!
i put this movie off for such a long time because i’m not really into werewolves but now i regret it, it was really great had such a charming sense of humor and really impressive practical effects i’ve never seen a werewolf transformation as viscerally uncomfortable as this

The best werewolf transformation in my opinion. Jump scares. A favorite!
A mix of captivating writing, a delightful soundtrack, & well-balanced horror-comedy elements. The highlight is Rick Baker's realistic & chilling 80s visuals, particularly during the iconic werewolf transformation. The climax is intense, though the abrupt, somber ending feels somewhat disappointing.

uhh embarrassed to say i watched this... and liked it? lmao honestly one of the best werewolf transitions ive seen onscreen, until they got to the head morphing. never show the head, okay? & that last transition mid-run not only makes zero sense, but also does NOT count. bad nono
Instantly charming and effortlessly funny at times, something that I never would have expected knowing what I knew about this movie before watching (really only the transformation scene and how people really, really like it). The transformation scene holds up.
I wish the Jack did die so early on but at least we got to see his ghost throughout the movie. I also wish he would’ve been a little more vengeful given his bestie left him to die. Did like how the ending was so abrupt💀💀 but it’s ok i really enjoyed this film
