SolAug 3, 2023I wholly believe Celine Dion’s rise to fame involved this much comedy. One of the weirdest and funniest biopics you’ll ever see. Loved every bit of it. I also had no idea that Valérie Lemercier also directed this and went on to win a César Award for best actress. Wow.

More than anything, Aline feels like a kamikaze act of wish fulfillment, wildly indulgent but so deeply committed to what it’s doing that it can’t help but be compelling.
