I really loved this movie! Runtime was about 90 minutes but it was a well-paced film and the jokes were really good!! Great to see Di Niro and the cast have fun with it :) I give it a solid 9/10 please support these small indie films!!

I thought he was going to be more like himself, being a comedian, rather than a hotelier, and her parents like his wife; Jewish and in California.

Director Laura Terruso overlooks several comedic opportunities in About My Father. It’s as though she’s working from a script that’s been edited by someone who got the situations but not the jokes.

This is sit-com level material and, as such, there’s not much new or interesting that De Niro can bring to the proceedings.
