Who are these bland characters and what are they doing moping around these beautifully rendered backgrounds?
Well I'll be damned if this film doesn't pack as much emotion as humanly possibly into its fleeting, sixty minute runtime. It's been a while since an animated/anime film has made me sit there with tears in my eyes throughout almost its entire length, but the sheer poetry,…
ive never been in love but it looks like it sucks..and thats the message i got from this film
Moody kids will be moody, amiright? Moody teenagers will be moody, amiright? Moody adults will ruminate on past loves and relationships long gone by even if it keeps them from enjoying life and moving on to experience something better...amiright? 10/10 can relate though.
The sense of longing perfectly captured, first love as a fleeting memory. A train that got delayed. A train that stood between lovers. A rocket launched into the sky but where is the obligatory spur-of-the-moment kiss? Not being able to get what you want, the beautiful sky…
wish my loneliness was also this aesthetically pleasing
WHY DO SOME PRETTY MOVIES HAVE TO BE SO BORING I CANT STAND IT
I like slow movies (The Turin Horse, 2001: A Space Odyssey). I like romance movies (Carol, Chungking Express). I like movies dominated by stunning visuals and voiceover (The Tree of Life, Apocalypse Now). I like slow, visually stunning, romance movies split into three…

You can definitely see the inspiration he took from this to make your name The animation is spectacular while I don’t like the fact it’s so short as I believe with maybe 40 more minutes it could have benefited massively 8.4/10 too short to give it any higher but still great 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Okay, I really tried to give this a chance but if I’m being honest it wasn’t that good. For the very little story there is, its not very developed and is really slow. My biggest issue with it was how there was no resolution. Only thing that was good was the animation 4/10
It was good and all but ppl grow apart all the time, it’s nothing new. Been there done that!! I don’t understand why she couldn’t put in the same effort n take a train to him🤦🏻♀️ It honestly would have been better as a short film.
5 Centimeters per Second is a breathtakingly beautiful and heartbreakingly realistic masterpiece of animation, earning a 7.9/10 rating. Director Makoto Shinkai crafts a visually stunning and emotionally devastating film that captures the quiet, bittersweet ache of a first love shaped and ultimately…
3/10 It was basically just a whole movie of nothingness. I understand the story and I read up on it after but it still just wasn’t good. Just a short movie about two people who liked eachother then ended up being apart and even after a long time they still liked eachother and then they just moved…
it’s one of those movies you really gotta pay attention to. so cute
this movie would’ve been better if it had more of a story line.
It’s kinda a cute story but it was kinda confusing to watch
