First time seeing this film in my life and it was at the 70mm Cinerama Dome. Was tripping balls the entire time.

Stanley Kubrick is a master of cinema, and this is one of many, MANY examples.

The Ultimate Trip. It was like watching a whole new movie. Genius and so beautifully done.

70mm at it's finest, just the way it was released 50 years ago. The music and sound effects were dramatic and scary. Be wary though, some scenes may get too loud.

Something in its mandarin blankness and balletic vastness, and refusal to trade in the emollient dramatic forms of human interest and human sympathy. Kubrick leaves usual considerations behind with his readiness to imagine a post-human future.
