Synopsis
When a charming house guest arrives at a remote castle, the delicate dynamic between a neglectful husband, his innocent bride Cherry, and their devoted maid Hero, is thrown into chaos.
Moviegoers are saying
This period piece about chess-playing lesbians in a castle setting has viewers swooning over its queer cast and aesthetic, even as they acknowledge its pacing issues. Audiences are drawn to its themes of authorship and storytelling, though many admit the plot occasionally circles without clear direction.

- zxki is "meh" on100 Nights of Hero
How and why is this rated so low? Apart from the obvious messaging on feminism and oppression, I can't see why, other than maybe it attracting the wrong audience. By all means, it's not a perfect film, but it's nothing I wouldn't recommend. The cinematography, sound design, costuming, and fantasy…
Davina loved100 Nights of HeroLoved it can’t believe it is rated so low. Such a fun and whimsical movie. Hate to admit it but I would have folded on the first night for Manfred. Loved cherry and hero’s relationship wasn’t expecting Charlie xcx or felicity jones to pop up be they make a cameo Simply loved
Valerie liked100 Nights of HeroGreat film, beautiful visuals. Some parts definitely felt too long and the ending had some random bits that could have been taken out. But overall a beautiful story!

Stylish design and well cast, but not nearly as clever as it thinks it is.

There’s just enough style and slyness to momentarily whisk one away.

Whatever happened in bringing this story to the big screen, 100 Nights of Hero starts off enjoyable enough in the moment, but by the time it ends, it's easy to feel underwhelmed.
