Atom Tickets Premieres in Los Angeles/Southern California, Atlanta, Nashville in Parnership with Regal Cinemas, AMC Theatres

To Celebrate the Launch, Moviegoers Get First Ticket Free New Platform Set To Modernize Classic Movie-Going Experience

LOS ANGELES, June 28, 2016 - Atom Tickets, the first-of-its-kind theatrical mobile ticketing platform and app, is now available to moviegoers throughout Southern California (including Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego Counties), Atlanta, and Nashville at every AMC Theatre and Regal Cinema. To celebrate the launch, consumers will get their first movie ticket purchased through the Atom Tickets app for free*. Atom Tickets previously launched in select theaters across the U.S. and Canada, and Atom Tickets will be live nationally by the end of summer.

The new platform helps consumers check show times, quickly and easily connect with friends, order tickets and even pre-pay for concession items with just a few taps. Atom Tickets makes the movie-going experience fast, easy and social – recommending movies that customers love, enabling invitations to friends and family, and providing the VIP experience of skipping ticket and concessions lines.

"In partnership with industry giants like AMC Theatres and Regal Cinemas, we’re poised to further modernize the business and customer experience of movie-going” said Matthew Bakal, executive chairman and co-founder of Atom Tickets.

“As the first exhibition partner to launch nationwide with Atom Tickets, we are excited to bring their innovative social and mobile app to our theatres in Southern California, Atlanta and Nashville,” said Amy Miles, CEO at Regal Entertainment Group. “Regal moviegoers, along with members of our industry leading loyalty program, the Regal Crown Club, will now have a new way to purchase their tickets and concessions in advance.”

“We are excited to bring a new level of convenience and technological innovation to our guests” said Ameesh Paleja, co-founder and CEO of Atom Tickets.

“Movies are most enjoyed on the big screen in theatres full of fans,” said Elizabeth Frank, AMC Chief Content and Programming Officer. “Through the communications features of its mobile app, Atom Tickets makes planning movie-going outings super convenient, especially for groups. We expect this ticketing innovation to bring more people into theatres more often.”

How it Works:

Atom Tickets re-imagines the most convenient way for users to plan a night out at the movies. Available for free on the Apple App Store and Google Play, the app provides relevant reviews, trailers and synopses to help customers make the best decision on what to see. Moviegoers may then invite friends (via Facebook or their contact lists) to purchase their own tickets to join them. Atom tickets enables seamless ordering of tickets and concessions from any Android or iOS phone. At the theater, consumers go directly to the ushers and concession counters, where they simply scan a QR code at tablet kiosks. Paper tickets and IOUs have been replaced by Atom’s innovative platform, which keeps all plans, messaging, payment and tickets in one place.
