Embarrassingly haven’t seen it until now. I know. Shut up. This is one of the funniest movies I think I’ve ever seen. Was literally still laughing after it ended. Thank you Will Wright for forcing me to watch it. Can’t wait for October to be over so friends can stop…
KarstenFeb 27, 2019i could talk about how great of an homage to old monster movies this is, the german expressionism influences BUT what i really want to address is how long gene wilder's eyelashes are

cookieFeb 3, 2013One of the best comedies ever made. It's that simple. All these modern 'movie spoofs' can learn a thing or two from this film. Parody is a powerful thing when done right. The only downside of this film is that it always makes me remember how much I miss Wilder's…

This movie was really funny. I am going for the review length badge. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
This is THE blueprint for modern comedy… running gags, lewd humor, silly characters with unique quirks, and most importantly good writing and cast….. not a remake but a story inspired by an original work. Hope there’s a reset in Hollywood to start making films like the classics 🎞️
I loved this style of comedy, some of it was well thought out and some of it was complete random, the generous mixture of both was great. Marty Feldman as Igor was one of the funniest stand alone characters I’ve ever seen. The noir style was a great choice. So many good bits.

Immensely funny Mel Brooks comedy. The sets and style lovingly re-create what James Whale did in 1931 with his ‘Frankenstein’. Gene Wilder is terrific and everyone commits to the bits very well. I still prefer Brooks’ ‘The Producers’ but this was great
I remember watching this a lot as a kid (the adult humor went way over my head) and watched again recently for the first time in years and it’s still really good. Funny. Gene Wilder’s eyes are mesmerizing in this.

“Abby Normal.” Young Frankenstein is one of finest things to ever come out of Mel Brooks’s catalog, it’s funny, accurate and manages to install successful subplots into an already impressive and complete story. Not to mention the fact it’s just really funny, however imo I don’t think there’s a…
A comedy classic! Mel Brooks absolutely kills with this comedy about Dr. Frankenstein (not that Frankenstein). As a kid I fell in love with this black and white film. I always thought it was much older until I connected that Gene Wilder was Willy Wonka. Marty Feldman keeps the laughs rolling as…
genuinely funny with a brilliant gene wilder, i enjoyed this more than the classic films at a few turns. some of the parodies are so good that they’ve become iconic characters themselves; gorgeous, and keeps the energy of the originals intact. does the classic films justice
