a romcom with a theatrical release??? we have never been so back
theoApr 9, 2026Unfortunately a classic case of every side character is funnier and more interesting than the leads, who individually are great, but can’t seem find their groove when together.
Joe AApr 9, 2026This was delightful. It knows exactly what it is and what it wants to do, then does it. It hits like a Disney Channel Original Movie, but one of the good ones you still smile thinking about today.

such a cozy and comforting film! the chemistry between Halle Bailey and Regé-Jean Page was so natural and charming. it’s definitely cliché and cheesy, but what romcom isn’t?! the Black joy throughout was just the cherry on top, and the humor definitely had me giggling.
Baby, it was ROUGH in the beginning and not in a good way. The editing and acting were giving, and you're watching Disney Channel ✨, but it got tolerable and better later on as it picked up pace, or maybe I just acclimated to the film's style. Actually, yeah, that’s it. Also, why tf are you giving…

The Little Mermaid and The Duke of Hastings was so perfect together but Francesca really stole the spotlight she was so funny and the soundtrack was so perfect italian music mixed with early 2000s R&B music was chef kiss idk why I waited so long to watch this it was good
8.1/10 It’s your classic romcom, though it was more rom than com. I adored Regè- Jean Page, he was fantastic in this, his acting with superb and his chemistry and emotion was off the charts, i must admit i did not quite like Bailey as much, i felt she lacked the emotion.
This was a new take on While You Were Sleeping. I thought it was cute, and enjoyed the movie. Regé-Jean Page can surprisingly sing, and Halle Bailey still can’t. A girl going into the bathroom after the movie gave it a 10 out of 10. I wouldn’t say that, but it was cute.

This was such a cute movie with an awesome script and hilarious dialogue. My husband said it was one of the better romances on screen in awhile. That’s high praise! I’d recommend just for the cute moments and good laughs. But see it in the theater first if you can!
That was crazyyyy! Had all the classic rom com tropes. Was super corny at times but funny, and Halle and Rege did a good job in the roles. Just wish some background characters’ plot points were ironed out more rather than them just being there as a plot device
