pretty good story line at the start, some gruesome stuff and few jump scenes. Ending was pretty lame, hence the 4 star. MINORS DO NOT SEE!
this movie was bonkers ... and super nasty with an original villain
Too hyped for no reason
Good performances, with some compelling points, an interesting premise, and the kill scenes were definitely entertaining, but it just didn't tie together for me. I don't think I completely regret seeing it, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else.
Brittany Snow was amazing as always
Now this SOOOO good, it really isn’t a movie everyone is gonna love but i absolutely loved it, there was such good surprises and Mia Goth was such a great standout playing two characters in this, the audience reaction was so good in my showing, everyone reacted to every death, speaking of which, the deaths were so gory and the comedy was really good, i loved this movie so much, i can’t wait for the prequel and the other movies in this new franchise!! 9.5/10
It was aight
“X” is a masterpiece!
A terrifying but entertaining time at the movies. A fresh throwback to 80’s slashers.
very good movie! nice homage to old school slasher films!
L movie
The trailer hooked me for what was possibly one of the most boring movies I’ve seen in a while. The “villain(s)” of the film were underwhelming and the story painfully slow.
I loved this movie!
Why the old lady up on her like that?????
It was alright but not as good as other a24 horror films. It’s not as crazy as people say, just creepy.
Great original plot, definitely still a slasher with good jump scares and nostalgic feel.
SO GOOD CUDI TOOK WS’s
the actors were great the plot was mid
lame
Previews gave the entire movie away
Not what I was expecting
Has a slow and intense burn.
It’s was a weird movie but it was good and Funny
Pretty good. There some experimental directing and themes at play that were enjoyable.
It’s good. Not great but if you’re into slashers you’ll probably love it.
Both terrifying and disturbing
5 X's
well-written!
Metacritic
It has certain je ne sais quoi, if graphic nudity, self-referential humor and serial murder — neck stabbing, eye gouging, alligator munching and shotgun blasting — are your thing.
West delivers a crowd-pleasing return to horror that’s a love letter to the genre without becoming a parody.
Ti West is back with a violent vengeance, slicing and dicing through likable characters that light up the screen throughout their doomed and debaucherous overnight shoot. West is operating on another level — even the slightest editing cut cranks fear factors another notch higher.
