Atom User Reviews for X-Men: Apocalypse
Could have developed the characters better...too predictable as well. The actors gave it their all...poor Oscar Issac had to portray an underdeveloped version of Apocalypse. However, Love this new team of X Men coming up. Fox should wait a bit and develop their upcoming X Men movie to its fullest potential before releasing it. I would have waited 2 more years for a better version of Apocalypse.
Fast-paced and interesting
amazing amazing movie!!!
The truth will set you free.
It was great.
Best X-men yet!!!
I like that it wasn't predictable, but it was a little different from the comics. Didn't make Apocalypse seem nearly as sinister and ruthless. However, great movie, can't wait to buy it.
I really loved it!
more gore and bad language . maybe it was the hatter people?
Fun Watch.
I loved it! favorite characters... Jean, Angel, Storm, and Psylocke.
it was funny but i expected more from it.
Great movie to continue the storyline. Loved all that were involved. Smart casting choices for the younger members and great script.
I don't watch Marvel... like ever, my friends got me to go and I loved it!
Too much profanity though.
Would love to see more of Phoenix!!
Thanks for a great way to start the summer!!!
Just as good as or possibly better than Civil War.
Metacritic
For deeply steeped Marvel Comics aficionados it will probably be fairly satisfying, and there’s no reason on earth why anyone else should even bother.
Director Bryan Singer, who started the whole thing in high style with 2000's X-Men, returns for a fourth time. Singer shows a lot of energy, but he and screenwriter Simon Kinberg (Fantastic Four, yuck) let the movie get way overcrowded.
Point is, the property is running on bald tires, and, for all its ear-splitting racket and lavish effects, “Apocalypse” is the barest of retreads.
