Cynthia Erivo truly is a magical being because how do you elevate a near perfect song like Defying Gravity, pay homage to the original and yet leave your undeniable mark on it.
Will Selby lovedWicked10/10 As a huge fan of the original book, the musical, L. Frank Baum’s original, and so many of the other Oz stories, they couldn’t have done this better. As a musical, and an adaptation that took nearly 20 years to make, it was worth every second and more.

By the end, you won’t quite be levitating off your seat but you’ll definitely be enchanted enough to stream the soundtrack on the way home. Funny, colourful and full of empathy for outsiders, this film really is the Shiz.
