I am shocked at how many middling-to-poor reviews of this film there are here on Letterboxd. With its painterly visuals, excellent story as a not-very-subtle metaphor for the evils that men do, and good direction, this is nothing short of a masterpiece. I'm not one for…
Matt J.Aug 6, 2021the second most violent rabbit movie ever made, followed by Hop (2011)
adamboltAug 29, 2021Given its reputation, I anticipated a full 90-minute bloodbath. Instead, I've come away only somewhat traumatized.

anna nomalyFeb 27, 1998This is the story of Bugs Bunny played for drama instead of comedy. And it works because as much as we love to laugh with Bugs Bunny we know in the back of our heads that if he spoke to a hunter like that in real life he'd get shot. The only reason it has bad reviews is…

If my future kids don’t behave, I’ll punish them with this movie.

laurenAug 9, 2021Watership Down is a mature and beautifully dark tale of tyranny and hope. I cared SO MUCH for this group of rabbits and it’s crazy how the stakes feel through the roof when it’s just about a bunch of forest animals. Like I was genuinely on the edge of my seat at times. The…

I want this movie injected in my veins let me snort it let me smoke it let me drink it THIS MOVIE IS MY LIFE Yes it traumatized me as a kid yes it still haunts me but damn I’ve never been able to look at nature the same and humanity sucks but so do animals… we’re all animals
I love this movie so much. The animation is stunning and the score is so heart wrenching. It still makes me cry. I grew up on this movie and it’s still just as beautiful as it was when I first watched it. It’s a wonderful new perspective on life 10/10 watch it, it’s so underrated

How was I today years old when I discovered this incredible piece? Absolutely worth your time. Beautiful animation with the voice of a poet woven throughout the entirety of the script. See it. You’re welcome in advance. 🤗 However, this movie is not for young children.

Gorgeous movie and the kinda thing a child would watch and be haunted by for years. Been watching a lot of that genre lately tbh
It was more violent/graphic than I was expecting but my dad made me watch it because it was his favorite movie growing up.
