Annie likedVivoI know i’m not even close to the audience that this movie seeks, but it is a very enjoyable movie, I loved the scenes with the old man and the monkey, but the kid was just annoying throughout the whole thing. She was too much and I couldn’t stand her at all, idk how Vivo did..

sam is "meh" onVivohonestly.. wasn’t a huge fan of this movie. the movie was AMAZING with the old couple and the monkey, but the little girl just really ruins it all.. she’s not at all a like-able character, more annoying and a bit bratty? there wasn’t a lot of depth or pizazz, wasn’t great :/

The songs are a BOP. Although the girl is really annoying, I enjoyed the story behind the monkey. Lol Lin can write music (really well, like omg) but I find it hard to hear him hit those high notes 😬

Vivo is a heartfelt piece with catchy songs and a much more cohesive plot than Miranda’s Moana, which gets tangled midway through. Sure it could do with a touch more depth, but in the kids movie genre, you could do a lot worse.

It’s glorious in some parts, stretches out your willingness to suspend disbelief in others. Nevertheless, a movie that leaves you with a Missy Elliott style grrrl power anthem as an earworm is totally worth a lazy summer afternoon sprawled in front of your TV – as you make mental notes to sign up your kids for musical theatre classes the minute you’re allowed.
