That weird valley between never boring and yet never quite engaging. There’s a missing spark even if I thought individual elements worked.

I love Bill Skarsgård and I’m watching a lot of his movies right now. Villains is really funny. I’m really sad that about the ending but it was so funny and I would definitely watch it
Characters were well rounded and the actors did well but it was just a lot of nothing plot. They seemed scared to lean into the comedy which they absolutely should have and the horror level was like the fruit flavor in a la croix

I watched this while making dinner but what I got from this wasn’t necessarily a bad viewing experience. I enjoyed the chemistry and performances of all the actors involved but ithas a fairly straight forward premise so I don’t think the average viewer will have their mind blown.
The concept was good but the execution was lacking. I wasn’t given any reason to care about the protagonists so then being threatened didn’t put the stakes as high as it should have. The comedy was fine, the gore was good. 4/10 fear level, stress inducing, but it didn’t hook me.

huh… this was… interesting? the humor worked for me probably like 50% of the time my favorite part of the movie by far was gloria what helped me decide between "like" and "meh" was the super cool credits though
This movie was creative and had some suspenseful moments in it. I enjoyed the movie as a whole, but I felt like the ending was a little rushed and disappointing slightly. Overall worth the watch.
