Moviegoers are saying
This Colleen Hoover adaptation has left audiences deeply divided, with viewers particularly noting Anne Hathaway's committed performance amid what many describe as bizarre character writing and questionable plot execution. The film seems to inspire more creative rewrite suggestions from fans than actual praise, with reviewers questioning whether the characters are meant to feel authentically human.

The book was better tbh. I’m sad so many great and hair-raising scenes from the book weren’t included or were quite badly altered. Anne Hathaway was great tho.

I had a ver-ity good time 🤓✌️ No but seriously this wasn’t as bad as I expected. All the reviews I had heard was that it’s the best of the Colleen Hoover adaptations, but that bar was already on the floor 😭. I thought the story was decent, the performances were all solid (especially Hathaway and…
. lovedVerityThis movie was incredible!!! It was really interesting and the plot is insaneeee. Do not watch it with your family though cause it’s not that type of movie, it’s got some dirty scenes there. It was really good I just wish they wouldn't show as much as they did in those scenes.
Lleyton Coberley likedVerityNot half bad. The concept, plot, and casting was pretty good but I felt it got a little lazy at the end. The movie built anticipation the whole movie and then end you’re just left unsatisfied and thinking, “is that it?” Rating: 5/10

It was just as bad as everyone said. Maybe if they cast it differently it would at least be okay. But Dakota Johnson really phoned it. And Josh was wildly miscast. But even so, the writing is just plain bad. Avoid it.
Edx likedVerityEn vrai ça va ! Je trouve que ça été bien adapté meme si le lire est tjr meilleur mais au moins c'est pas comme d'autre adaptation.
Sylvia Nadine Joyce dislikedVerityEnding your dark, edgy, Neo gothic thriller with a Hot Ones interview is maybe not the best move?
