viSep 12, 2022I dunno man, the CGI is dreadful but there’s lots of massive castles and laboratories, all brought to life with beautifully designed practical sets. Has plenty of lightning, shadows, and cobwebs for optimal spooky atmosphere. Everyone’s hot and has fabulous hair. What do…

Don’t know why people say it’s a bad film. I liked it, maybe it’s nostalgia for me 🤣
☆ ☆ the story was meh, very early 2000s cgi, some cool references to other relevant movies of the time, lots of filming errors which were fun to spot. added info - i started this movie in october then finished it in december, it was a very unmotivating movie and i very nearly dnf’ed it

Besides the somewhat laughable CGI in this movie, it was not as bad as people are making it out. It’s a well thought out monster movie with silly moments, horrific monsters and a smashing cast to top it off. Don’t take it seriously and you’ll enjoy this one. 9.1/10 for me!!!!!!!!
I usually love classic monster movies with werewolves and vampires. This was decent. It was a bit overwhelming and hard to follow. Cringe and sexualized acting. CGI was decent for 2004. Feel like I need to watch a “Van Helsing Lore Explained” YT video. Loved seeing Jackman though
A great fun movie to watch during a Stormy night. One of my favorite interpretations of Dracula. 1st time I saw this as a kids I had nightmares about Dracula, and maybe that is why it stocked with me 😂 waiting for Universal to get it right and launch Their Monster Universe
