A simple representation of a anti-utopia with hints of ideas of George Orwell, Hannah Arendt, Sigmund Bauman and primitive anarchists (Saul Newman, for example) who understand freedom not in collective fundamentalism, but in total deconstruction of order.

It kept me entertained, unfortunately you can feel the sign of the time on this one for me… the mask, it feels cringe now, maybe not back then, the dialogue, it’s very up front with you but still pretty scarce to be honest, it’s like when someone try’s to talk with big words to sound more…

Beautiful movie, it did a great job of streamlining the book into movie format while still hitting all the right beats. Natalie Portman and Hugo Weaving both had stellar performances. The story was amazing of course and we’ve got the great Alan Moore to thank for that
