“Gothic guys on campus looking to hook up, I-M me. We're on similar dark paths." -Danielle Harris and the killer in the goths 4 goths chatroom. Urban Legend, 1998.

it’s so funny how some filmmakers in the late 90s really were owing their entire careers to scream

90’s slasher films are always so campy and fun and so underrated. write that on my tombstone because i will never change my mind
allie bugFeb 24, 2020yes i rated this higher than the shawshank redemption! shoutout to my film teacher and anyone who ever respected me

A fun and exciting post-Scream slasher. Tons of inventive kills and a decent twist, URBAN LEGEND is an exciting and suspenseful horror flick that’s great as a popcorn movie. 7/10

A slasher that is just interesting enough to be enjoyable. Some interesting twists with an ultimately groan-worthy ending. Easily a top 5 worst final girl in a horror film but the supporting cast help to enhance the quality. The sick soundtrack is the cherry on top of this flick.

8.1 This had all of the makings of a great slasher movie. It had good kills, interesting characters, a 90s cheesiness that I love in this kind of movie, and a unique plot. This was a very enjoyable horror movie and I was pleasantly surprised by it
Painfully 90s in all the most glorious ways. A post-scream “who’s the killer” horror offering that stands out amongst an over-saturated subgenre. This one would pair nicely with “Valentine” for a double feature. High rewatchability.
