Synopsis
Pity Stuart. The guy (played by Matt Walsh) is deep in a mid-life crisis. His job and home life have imploded, and he turns a European vacation into one of the most embarrassing moments anyone could ever experience when he proposes to his friend’s much younger daughter under the Eiffel Tower.
So Stuart has to escape the getaway that was meant to be an escape. He partners with a cocksure former soccer player (Reid Scott) on a journey through French wine country. When they both fall for the same vineyard owner (Judith Godrèche) Stuart realizes he has to get himself sorted out, and fast.

Metacritic
This is a very bad movie that manages to be as insulting as it is stupid.
The film is yet another ode to the restorative magic of wine country sunshine, which apparently also has the power to expose the story’s egregious midlife-crisis clichés.
The film ultimately suffers from its overly contrived plot mechanics, but the expert performances by its ensemble make it go down as easy as a smooth glass of Bordeaux.
