The writing was HORRIBLE. This was genuinely so painful to sit through. I can’t even explain how bad the script was. However… Glen Powell in a cowboy hat in the rain… and Glen Powell in sunglasses… and Glen Powell in a backwards baseball cap… and Gle- you get the idea.

I really felt like this was a wonderful summer blockbuster and absolutely a theater movie, not a stream at homer. Things are really getting weird and crazy these days but it was encouraging to be able to take my family to a theater and have a nice time with no BS. MAYBE THERE IS HOPE FOR US STILL

It’s the same old tornado twaddle, but the destructive power of weather has never been more timely, the sparking star charisma of Glen Powell never more evident and the tenderness director Lee Isaac Chung shows for the land and its people never more appreciated.

Twisters is set to be one of the biggest hits of the summer, with a budget that convinced two studios to share the cost and distribution. But that lack of the human touch lowers the stakes, minimized the suspense and left me cold. The effects are next generation impressive, but they’ve been getting steadily better in the tornado movies between Twister and Twisters.
