Moviegoers are saying
Audiences call this a lukewarm but likable courtroom true-story ride, where the Anna Nicole Smith trial scenes and the Kal Penn and Linda Hamilton pairing do most of the heavy lifting. Many viewers say it starts slow, and some wish it had leaned harder into serious drama or stretched into a Hulu miniseries, but most walk out saying it was a fun watch that filled in the missing pieces of a famous story.

Kinda average true story movie. Didnt know much going in but pretty informative and well acted. Sandeep was a lil wild but had good intentions. The court scene was prolly the best part but overall nothing crazy. Not really a must see but happy i saw it.
zigster77Oct 17, 2026If this movie was more serious drama and less comedy drama this would’ve actually been really solid. The court scenes were probably the best parts and with better performances and a more solid script and pacing the outcome would’ve been something serious!
Ty RobinsonOct 15, 2026I didn't hate this, but my prevailing thought throughout was... this should have been a miniseries on Hulu, à la Welcome to Chippendales or Pam & Tommy. The setup and structure of this film just feel very Hulu miniseries-coded. It would have also allowed us to play with…

Really fun and surprising tabloid/courtroom drama/comedy. Had no knowledge of the details of the case and didn’t know how it shook out, so was very on edge for the final act.
Zach VasquezOct 15, 20261:00 pm I thought this looked like shiiiit before seeing this. The cringy and flimsy presentation is definitely what’s going against it the most. Kal Penn is pretty bad too. I didn’t recognize him so I assumed he was a no name. Some of the bad acting and cheap presentation…
Late Movie ReviewsOct 19, 2026I appreciated going to the movies in an empty theater and watching a story unfold that I didn't know about. This movie will forever exude a chill vibe in my heart now, and I enjoyed it very much. It's not something I was excited for. As Sabrina Carpenter once said, "think…

Trust Me, I’m a Doctor examines the motivations behind people swept up in the glamor of being linked to a celebrity and how complicit they might be if that celebrity is intent on self-harm. Full review at: Spectrum Culture.

CassidyOct 16, 2026Based on a true story. A Courtroom drama that decided on if Dr Sandeep Kapoor killed his former patient tv star Anna Nicole Smith with prescription drugs. It’s crazy how the final verdict decided Dr Sandeep Kapoor's fate. Great performances by Linda Hamilton, Kal Penn, and…
