Synopsis

A legal and environmental crisis unfolds across the expansive American interior, in a visceral journey through the landscapes, ecologies, and personal histories of the candidate sites for a sacrificial nuclear dumping ground.
Moviegoers are saying
Reception of To Use a Mountain splits along a clear line: viewers who settle into its contemplative rhythm praise the landscapes, the soundtrack, and the testimonies of people rooted to a contested land, while others found it sleepy, thin on context, and hampered by broken subtitles. Several reviewers see it as a necessary counterweight to Oppenheimer, a "powerful double feature" that asks who really pays for the atomic age.

An excellent counterpoint to Nolan's Oppenheimer. They would make for a powerful double feature.
