Atom User Reviews for To Kill A Mockingbird (1962) presented by TCM
One of the best movies ever from one of the best books ever.
I had forgotten how good this movie actually was. The performances were outstanding. You could see the humanity of a people who were struggling with change and a system that was still entrenched in the South at the time, both of the book and when the movie was released
Atticus, Jem, Scout, Dill, and Boo Live On! Saw this as a child, and it brought back many great memories! Should be a must see for everyone now. Incredible!
It was great! Such a great cast and inspiring story! Atticus Finch was an amazing man and role model for all of us!
Great movie. π
An incredible trip down memory lane. Gregory Peck IS A. Finch!

One of my all time favorites. First time I saw it on the big screen. Great story. Gregory Peck is the best.
Even more incredible on the big screenβn
great movie. was awesome to see it on the big screen.
Even better on the big screen - and powerful.
Fantastic timeless movie. Great story and wonderful acting!
Wonderful seeing this motion picture on the big screen! I'd seen it previously only on TV and in bits and pieces over the years! So great seeing it in its original glory!
one of my all time favorites; great seeing on the Big screen!
It was great to see the original movie again. Gregory Peck turned in a masterful, superb performance in this Oscar-winning role! I highly recommend seeing this film.
Poignant storytelling, combined with amazing acting and evocative score, to create a truly wonderful film. You can feel the humanity. There were those in our audience who had never seen the film before and literally gasped at various points. We watch "To Kill A Mockingbird" every year in the fall at home... so much better on the large screen!
Having only seen this awesome movie on the small screen, it was truly amazing!! I loved it before, but now? One can only appreciate it better on the big screen better.
I have seen this wonderful film many times, but it is even more powerful on the big screen. Great film, great book, great experience!
Amazing experience to see this on the big screen! Thank You TCM!
Movie itself wonderful seeing on big screen BUT once again, did not start ontime. Patron had to go out to staff to prompt for movie to start
Such a great movie!
Oh my word!! The best book and movie adaptation ever! And seeing it on the big screen was amazing! I watch it on DVD 2-3 times a year , but seeing it in this format? You see things youβve never noticed before! Thanks for a great experience!!
Surprisingly great despite it's age, great story and cast
So nice to see To Kill a Mockingbird on the large screen!
It was amazing how much detail and nuance comes through on the big screen.
Having never seen this movie, I thoroughly enjoyed it on the big screen! One of the best movies I have EVER seen!
A real treat on the large screen !
Excellent movie!
#great, #original, #
Awesome movie!
Great actors do not seem to be acting at all. Completely believable. Perfect depiction in every way. A movie lovers movie
It is my all time favorite movie (I've seen it many times on TV) and even better on the big screen. The characters and actors were outstanding. It is a must see for everyone.
So happy to get to view it on a large screen...great experience. This movie is the best movie ever made. It was great then and still now.
Thank you for showing this film
FAB!
My favorite movie of all time.
My all-time favorite film, wonderful to see on a big screen.
This is the second time seeing again on the big screen. This is a great movie.
I can see why Harper Lee wanted Gregory Peck to play the role of Atticus. Nothing like seeing this movie on the big screen.
Great Story, incredible acting and a production that took me back to 1930's America.
It was a awesome movie. It was nice seeing this movie on a big screen .
Could see this movie a million times and still be moved.
The best movie ever!!! I loved watching it on the big screen.
Important lessons still relevant today
absolutely my favorite film. (and book). Have seen it at least once a year since 1975. Never seen it on the Big Screen. WOW what a new experience. Peck has always been an amazing actor, but the difference was palpable. Micro expressions not visible on a TV screen were so very readable . Visceral reaction I had not expected. SO... So wonderful.
Metacritic
Few films have caught the special feel and rhythms of childhood so well, with such uncondescending warmth and humor. And few bring out more powerfully the themes of anti-racism and the virtues and joys of community and family. [20 Apr 2007, p.C5]
