Atom User Reviews for Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas
Saw it in theaters when I was a kid and loved it! So awesome to take my daughter to have the same experience and now she loves it too!
Always a great film to watch around Halloween or Christmas!
So cool to see it on the big screen! One of my favorite movies. I was astonished at how the sound system changed the entire experience for me! So good!
So glad it came back to the theater!!
Always fun... such great music and animation! I notice new things each time I see it. 🎃 🎅 🌲
Nightmare is an annual favorite of mine. Always love watching it.
Love this movie and that it has been playing around Halloween time! Such a fun story!!
One of my favorite movies since I was a kid! It’s always so great when they bring it back to theaters for the holidays!
I am a huge Tim Burton fan & can watch this move over & over again. My toddler did a great job at the theatre for it being his first time there.
This is my favorite movie ever! It’s amazing in IMAX.
I enjoyed it more when I was a kid....Fell asleep through most of it...Good nap soundtrack though!
The director of the film, a veteran stop-action master named Henry Selick, is the person who has made it all work. And his achievement is enormous.
The movie has a grotesque charm, a pie-eyed magic. With its crack-brained, spidery-limbed, Edward-Gorey-eyed crew of dashing skeletons, Frankenstein ladies, mad scientists with detachable brainpans, swivel-headed two-faced politicians and big bad bug-bag monsters, it comes at you like a Saturday afternoon kiddies' special gone pleasantly berserk.
That Burton darkness, gentle and sweet though it may be (he's David Lynch through a Disney looking-glass), was said to be the one element that kept Batman Returns from becoming the most popular movie of all time. Maybe so. But this time, it's simply perfect. [22 Oct 1993, p.G4]
