Hmmm.... well I DON'T like rom coms about kidnapping and sexual assault, but I DO like primary colors.... Boy, this one's a real pickle.
ReCreationThis movie has a very repulsive gaze. It often feels we're looking through an harasser's lenses and that we are supposed to think he is in the right. Even if ¡Átame! was an Almodóvar's attempt to portrait Stockholm Syndrome, to make a satire or whatever, he totally failed…

I knew absolutely nothing about this film going into it, and I was pleasantly surprised. Aside from the NC-17 content, the story was surprisingly intriguing and I was a big fan of the ending. The idea of Stockholm syndrome was very interesting to me. Overall a solid 7.5/10
Logan Boline is "meh" onTie Me Up! Tie Me Down!The more I think about this film the less I like the film part of it. I would like to see this directors dramatic and visual flair put towards something less incredibly toxic and hard to enjoy. Stockholm Syndrome but a romcom.
