crying that the book was called six days of the condor—sydney pollack snorted a line and was like don’t worry girls i can do it in three
Merkin MuffleyMar 30, 2015A movie about sinister forces at work in the CIA with big scenes set at the World Trade Center and in a Ford Bronco? It's like the nexus of all conspiracy theories!
Matt SingerAug 15, 2023Not the best conspiracy thriller, but maybe the one with the best final 5 minutes.

67/100 Terrific paranoid thriller saddled with a useless and disturbingly rapey romance. It's not a dealbreaker—everything involving Robertson and Von Sydow is too choice—but every time the movie returns to Dunaway it deflates, and Pollack's proto-Soderberghian flourishes…
Mike D'AngeloAug 19, 2021hard to argue with a movie that’s all about robert redford reading his little books and running around nyc, all while wearing beautiful coats!
LauraMay 24, 2019How do you know they’ll print it?

redford using the cia’s listed phone numbers in the phonebook to prove that he’s an agent is absolutely hilarious to me
Emma StefanskyJul 10, 2022Uncut Gems for Protestants. Really love the scene where Redford stress eats a pretzel. He goes so fast it it could read as a gag, but he makes it real. Acting is so cool
Mike GinnDec 2, 2025That’s right, I watched it again. Our nanny-pal hadn’t seen it so I had a good excuse. Just fantastic.

Paranoid spy thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat! Redford is manic as the titular “Condor” and Von Sydow is menacing as the main antagonist. Hard hitting actions sequences and a compelling mystery at its heart is what makes this film a classic!
Interesting story with some decent suspense and twists/turns. I had a like/dislike relationship with aspects of the "romance." Faye Dunaway sure was a cutie in here though. Ending is strangely wistful.

Beautiful old-fashioned mysterious conspiracy, so wonderfully nostalgic Not sure I fully understand it though
I watched the 4k Blu-ray, and it was gorgeous. The film moves, and it keeps you guessing. A classic.
