Atom User Reviews for The Witch
I felt the presence of Satan watching this film. At the end the whole theater erupted into demonic chanting. Forgive me Father!

No plot slow and no ending !!! Just like Blair witch will steal the money !
okay/good movie, much room for improvement.
super dark, drives people away w demonic and evil tones. but horror is achieved w out using jump scares and cheap tricks 10/10
You hardly see anything about the witch! Not scary
This movie was terrible. I wish I wouldn't have wasted my time or money on this movie.
Really good. Beautifully shot and incredible acting. Not a scary movie in the normal sense, but it has a bit of an eerie tone. Bien.
Luckily it was $5 because there was nothing scary except the hard to understand accents. Anya taylor joy tho 😩

I fell I should get a refund for this movie or at least free movie tickets back . This movie is a complete waste of money . My advice to anyone that is wanting to go watch it don't .
Total waste of money and my time. I would have had more fun watching water drip from the faucet.

The whole Theater was upset so stupid.
STUNK!!!!
Waste of time and money.

Had high hopes from the trailer that this would be a scary movie. The movie seemed to be well made, the actors were all good, but the plot left me continually bemused. Just really odd.
Waste of time and money.
not good
Metacritic
With incredible attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to the world he has created, Eggers slowly, surely builds tension until it's almost unbearable. And that's delightful, if you're a horror fan. It's a terrific film.
This is a very promising first feature by Eggers and showcases some exceptional acting.
Although Eggers is discreet – the things you don’t see are more horrifying than those you do – the picture’s relentlessness sometimes feels like torment. But if you can survive it, The Witch is a triumph of tone.
