The Wheel doesn't have anything really new to say about relationships or marriage but it does have some insight on the subject and features fine performances all around. Amber Midthunder continues to show how talented of an actress she is and has strong chemistry with…
Connor CareySep 13, 2021I clearly thought this was way better than most think… I think the performances were surprisingly great and I think visually it was fantastic as well. I wish the direction took more risks, as it felt like Mr. Pink had a lot of great ideas, but didn’t execute them as well…

Was not expecting to cry as much as I did with this one. And it’s wild to believe that the same man who did the Hot Tub Time Machine films helmed this one. Raw, emotional performances from Midthunder and Gray are what drive the film; they help sell the story of a marriage…
Collier JenningsJul 26, 2022I didn't have 'prickly relationship drama from the director of Hot Tub Time Machine' on my 2022 bingo card. Metacritic
For all its formulaic faults, The Wheel is unusually astute about the ways some couples avoid the hard truths about each other because they’re afraid of ripping their whole lives apart.
With compelling performances from leads Amber Midthunder and Taylor Gray, it’s impossible not to be invested in where they end up.
It’s messy and overly convoluted, but the ends do mostly justify the means.
