“Obviously, Doctor, you’ve never been a thirteen year old girl.”

This is a very deep film and it kills me the fact that it was shown from the boys perspective. We never got to see what was really going on inside of the sisters head and the boys had no idea how difficult it is to be a teenage girl. The soundtrack also added on to the aesthetic and indepthness of…
Still remember how I felt when I watched this movie. The kind of movie that make you think about it for a while. Really good adaptation of the book. Atmosphere really well translated.

Very beautiful and haunting movie. The way it portrays the girls is so interesting to me. The way the boys see them in such a fantasized and glamorized way, the girls almost aren’t even seen as human anymore but dreams and their situation and emotions are accessories overlooked.
It was sad seeing them not live their teenage life. I looked up a lot of questions about it during watching. I like the idea of teenage girl adolescence but it was sad how it was taken from them

An artful blend of '70s detail and dreamlike moodiness makes Coppola's first movie an exceptionally promising directorial debut.
