I waited 32 years to finally see this on the big screen after many missed opportunities and it did not disappoint.

I remember watching Transformers the Movie (1986) at the theater at a strip mall when it came out. Since then I considered it the greatest animated movie of all time (for me). Thank you for allowing me to see it in the theater a second time, here in 2018. When the drumbeat starts at the movie's intro, I feel more energy than the Star Wars opening. I have been waiting for them to make an animated sequel to this movie, with the original characters, for so long now. But they have to do it right. No CG. Just a straight up sequel with the same look and 80s metal soundtrack!

I love this movie, but I thought the theatre would have upgraded with the sound system. Also a couple of times the movie went blurry. Please bring back GI Joe the movie some time soon

Good turnout! I was glad to see so many people out to enjoy seeing this part of my childhood.

The movie was great, but I think there could have been a little more in the beginning then the trivia, like putting the break down of the music and such there, but it was so cool to see this again and catch the little details you miss on a TV screen.

Awesome movie! Would have been nice with a better sound system. Just wish the theater did a better job of letting us know about the free posters which ended up being gone for some reason when we asked.

One of the best movie watching experiences I've had. Very nostalgic, the audience knew when to laugh, cheer and shout in all the right parts. This is the best Transformers movie out there, the Michael Bay movies are an atrocity, great soundtrack and voice work.

I saw this in the theater when i was 5 yrs old. Till this day, this movie had awesome and famous voice actors, a cool soundtrack, serious tones, a great storyline and a VERY memorable antagonist. If they would take this movie and recreate it with todays CG and keep the voice tracks....this would be the ULTIMATE transformer movie!

The crowd was older but just as eager as the first time I sat in the theater for this. Families, fans, and new viewers alike enjoyed the film in its full glory.

Missed it in 1986 and I’m so glad I finally watched it on the big screen. I too feel this is one of the best animated films of all time. You can’t beat the soundtrack and action. I was in 6th grade in 1986 and this brought back memories.

Amazing journey down memory lane. Transformer's the Movie may not win awards for direction, storytelling or even animation but as far as 80s tie-in movies go it is the tops. Heartbreaking loss of many beloved Autobots (RIP) but all in all a memorable experience about hope, loss and growth.

Loved Grimlock! Loved the Dinobots and all the humor. Go back to this and do movies without people

After seeing it in 86 and having to leave because of being distraught, I finally got to see it the whole way through! The only problem was that the theater botched the Bumblebee preview, which was a bummer. Other than that, A+.

I love this movie. One of my all-time favorites. I missed it in the theatre when it first came out, so I was glad to have the opportunity all these years later. Audio wasn't too bad, but the image quality on big screen could have been better. But still a great experience for me.

Even after 32 years, seeing 1986 transformers animated movie return into theaters was a great moment. This movie and its soundtrack is better than most movies and soundtracks these days. Movie soundtrack reached its peak through entire auditorium. After I heard there is one night only return into theaters, I could not skip this moment. Those crummy liveaction movies cannot even compare near this movie. I hope it receives another theatrical rerelease soon. Best transformers movie ever.

I've loved this movie since as long as I can remember. Seeing it in the theatre was amazing.

One of my favorites from my childhood. I was finally able to see again in the theaters and couldn't miss the opportunity! I've seen it a million times in dvd and Blu Ray, but nothing stacks up to this. My wife's review is as follows: "That was 90 minutes of loud music, confusing images, and bad dialog." In other words, it was amazing and perfect !

First time seeing this in theaters!!! Awesome experince also got me hyped for the bumblebee movie. Also as a bonus it was my wife's first time seeing it ever!

The film looked great. We are T-G1 fans and it was the first time my 16 year old son and I saw it on the big screen, and the first time my 10 year old saw it all all. He was surprised by the 'moments' and general tone and it was a good conversation on the way home. The reason for the 3 stars is actually due to Fathom. I appreciate and utilize their special screenings, however, my digital ticket from Atom said there was a 7:00 start time. I left work early, rushed the kids through homework and dinner, and commuted 40 minutes to get to the film 15 minutes early....which actually started at 7:30. We spent 20 minutes looking at an image of the movie poster on the big screen with a countdown clock for 20 minutes, and that was after 5 minutes of the Fathom logo scrolling in obnoxious white flashes . The last 5 mins were a Bumblebee short, which at least was entertaining. The reward for showing up a little early was to wait and watch nothing, and that's frustrating on a school night.

I just saw this for the first time on the big screen at AMC. Had a blast! I'm immensely hyped for Bumblebee.

Never saw this on the big screen as a kid. Just VHS. I’ve waited 32 years to see this how it was meant to be seen. I think I smiled through the whole thing. I do wish they updated the sound though. That was really my only gripe. But we’ll worth he wait.

Movie was great. Audio was terrible. The voices were loud and clear but it was as if the sound effects and the music were being played in the next theater. The sound also seemed like it only played from the front, no surround-extra noticeable because of the two 40 year old men behind me bungling all the lines and lyrics throughput the entire movie.

I saw this when I was a kid with my dad and loved it! We got to see it again on the big screen at a Transformers Convention. At another convention, my dad and I got to see it Mystery Science Theater 3000 style.

Always and will be the best

32 years ago I watched this in the theater and finally got to again! It was as amazing as I remembered and the music has gotten even better!
