My opinion may be skewed by the terrible representation at the Temple TX Cinemark Theatre. First of all, we had to go tell the staff to start the movie after a 25 min delay. Then they didn’t start at the beginning, which was really disappointing. So yea, I want a refund, but will never see one. With regards to the actual show, I appreciate the story line, and the great talent depicted throughout the show. I just lost interest when I see the crowd in the pictures, and feel a live show would be better. This is definitely not ready for prime time screens.
So thankful I went.
Loved the movie so much. So inspirational and true to the story of Christ love for us
I'm not sure how to feel about a movie about a live performance. Loved the story but when the audience in the movie was shown kind of took away from it. Would of loved the live performance for sure.
I would have loved to see it live. Been praying that Cirque du soleil would have done something with the Bible- but glad to see the thorn incorporate some of the silk dancers and dancing in their show- it is certainly a step in the right direction. Thankful to see this being apart of a pioneering movement of creativity bringing the gospel to life- as a creative myself, we can give language and expression to capture hearts unlike others. I thought the film was too short- a lot more could have been added to it- even watching the entire show being produced would have been lovely- just like Sight and Sound. But all in all it was great- especially seeing where it has come from, but there is so much more it can go. The days of small beginnings lead to something greater than we can imagine. I did love the story and the way it was portrayed.
Great movie! We see the real show every year and we were a little worried it wouldn’t be the same. It was very well done.
Saw it in person years ago. The movie was fantastic and I totally enjoyed watching it being told as a story. Glad it’s back
