It’s a huge bummer to realize your friend actually really sucks

This is exactly like how The Smiths operate. The script and acting and direction and set design are Morrissey going “oh woe is me, laying flowers on James Dean’s grave while the vicar closes his dreadful eyes” and then the zither score is Johnny Marr going “hahaha shut up,…

This has all the qualities of a great film, but man, I just couldn't get all that invested. It had me intrigued at first, but the random music that felt like a jump scare was the only thing that kept me interested lol. At least the performances were top-notch, though.
I saw the scores for this movie and it had a 99% on Rotten Tomatoes. But honestly, I don’t think it was anything to write home about. It was just fine and most of the time I couldn’t really follow anything they were doing. One time watch movie only.

I don't think it's aged very well, but the influence is clear. Some really well shot foot chases, but honestly didn't get interesting until Orson Welles showed up.
I need to watch this again and see if I appreciate it more. Too distracted the first time from all my family members walking in and out all throughout.
