i'm so glad texas isn't real
tawni─ ⊹ ⊱ ☆ ⊰ ⊹ ─The story of a young woman's (played by Jessica Biel) repeated attempts to dry her tank top. At every turn a chainsaw wielding maniac is there, and try as she might she just cannot get to a stopping point in order to dry said garment. Sometimes you have to kill someone…

don't you love when you can smell a movie?
haleyOct 3, 2020Obviously can't compare to the sheer metaphysical terror of the best horror film of all time but it's pretty effectively grimy, has R. Lee Ermey going psycho mode and it doesn't even try to replicate the iconic horror setpieces; instead choosing to come up with a few new…
Josh LewisSep 13, 20161974's The Texas Chainsaw Massacre emerged from a fulminating chaos, a world without moral order, without justice or rationality. Anything could happen at anytime to anyone. Anything could be done at anytime by anyone. To say that things were spiralling out of control would…

this movie smells worse than all the grown men who don’t wash their asses COMBINED
nat🥀Feb 15, 2022So early 2000’s. Sweaty and dirty. Hot young people getting taken down one by one. This was actually pretty creepy and frightening. Would have scared me if I saw it in 2003.

Not as good as the original but better than anything after it
God I LOVE this movie. I just rewatched it and it was still just as good. It’s the best in the entire Texas Chainsaw franchise IMO. Jessica Biel is THE final girl. I loved all the main cast in the beginning. Idk why people are saying it’s boring when it’s literally Amazing. 12/10

So far my favorite from the series personally, the pacing was decent & the ending felt the most optimistic which is refreshing, the changes to the family were eh but overall a good movie. I was rooting for mini jeb to escape his family, he stayed so kind despite his situation 😭
This stylish remake is as unfairly maligned as the original, especially when it comes to complaints of gore and torture. This take on Leatherface is filled with dread and several sequences are horrific, particularly Vogel's updated meat hook scene.

One of the best remakes out there that holds up alongside the original, I'd say. I think the franchise as a whole is dogshit, but this and the original are the only ones that matter. This is like taking the original and making it more brutal and scary in a good way, unlike the Halloween remake.
The more I think about it, the more I love it. I can’t blame characters for being too sweet and morally correct for their own good, and the way they all collectively tried to save everyone they were around is just so heartwarming/breaking, I think I love them… this movie eats BAD
at first i asked myself why there were so many remakes of this movie, but now i understand. i loved it. just the right mix of gore and death and mystery and hot people. now i must watch all the other versions. i loved it, but i love all horror movies set in the 70s and 80s so idk
